Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers to common questions about our services and approach.
Refunds & Payments
What is your refund policy for paid programmes?
All paid programmes and webinars are non-refundable once access has been granted or a session has taken place. If you have a genuine concern before a programme begins, please contact us directly and we will do our best to find a fair resolution.
Can I transfer my place on the Accelerator to someone else?
Places on the Accelerator Programme are non-transferable. Each place is allocated to a specific clinician as the programme content, cohort dynamics, and advisory support are tailored to the individual. If your circumstances change, please get in touch and we will assess the situation on a case-by-case basis.
Webinars
How do I register for an upcoming webinar?
All upcoming webinars are listed on the Webinars page of this website. Each listing includes the date, topic, and a registration link. Webinars are paid sessions — once you complete registration and payment, you will receive joining instructions by email.
Are webinars recorded and available to watch afterwards?
Select webinar recordings may be made available to registered attendees after the event. This will be confirmed at the time of booking. Live attendance is strongly encouraged — the sessions are interactive and attendees benefit most from the Q&A and discussion components.
Programmes & Support
What is the difference between the Accelerator Programme and 1-1 Consultancy?
The Accelerator is a structured cohort-based programme designed for clinicians in the early stages of building a private clinic. It follows a defined curriculum covering business planning, compliance, operations, and launch. The 1-1 Consultancy is a fully bespoke advisory engagement for clinicians who need personalised guidance, are running more complex clinic models, or are already operational and want focused strategic input.
Is the Private Clinic Playbook suitable for someone just starting out?
Yes. The Playbook is specifically designed for clinicians who are at the thinking or planning stage. It provides a self-guided framework to help you understand what is involved in starting a private GP clinic, what decisions need to be made early, and in what order to approach them. It is a practical resource, not a theoretical overview.
Regulation & Compliance
Do I need CQC registration to start seeing private patients?
It depends on the regulated activities you plan to provide. Most private GP services in the UK that involve diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing require CQC registration before you can legally operate. Getting this wrong can result in enforcement action. We help clinicians understand their CQC obligations early and plan the registration process as part of their overall clinic setup.
Can MedicsUK help if I am already running a private clinic but struggling to grow it?
Yes. The 1-1 Consultancy in particular is well suited to clinicians who are operational but have hit a plateau or are facing specific challenges — whether that is patient acquisition, staffing, systems, financial performance, or scaling to a second site. We work with where you are, not just where you are starting from.
